Our values didn’t just happen. They are the result of listening, learning, and understanding what really matters to each of us. Here’s how KAEFER’s core values came about – and why they mean so much to us today.

Our values journey: From top-down origins to a collective refresh

Our values journey began in 2017 as a commitment to guide us all. What started as a top-down initiative has evolved: in 2024, we opened the floor to everyone. Across KAEFER, voices from the field to the boardroom came together to shape values that reflect who we are today.

We asked, and you answered! The message was clear: “We like our values, but let’s make them even better.” Focus, simplicity, and fresh language became our guideposts. Through feedback sessions, a workshop with GROW participants, and with support from our global HR team and leadership across regions, we focused on what is most important. We tightened our values from seven to four: Reliability, Ambition, Team Spirit, and Respect. These four get to the heart of the matter in a clear and inspiring language that each of us can relate to and live by every day.

Building our values together: A collective effort

The open, collaborative process showed us that these values are already alive in our day-to-day. For example, colleagues shared how Reliability means ensuring project milestones are met, Ambition is about reaching goals and striving for innovation, Team Spirit makes us stronger in every challenge, and Respect shapes our work interactions. One employee described them as an “orchestra” – each value contributing its unique sound but working together in harmony.
