How far will you go to make a difference? Over 5,000 of our colleagues from 27 countries answered that question with every step, pedal, and stroke during this year’s Venuslauf. With cancer affecting so many of us, the event has become about more than just sports. Each kilometre we covered is matched by a donation to cancer charities, with different amounts donated depending on the type of activity – from cycling and running to kayaking and hiking. Participants came together as a team, from casual joggers to seasoned athletes, showing that when we unite, we’re stronger and can create meaningful change.
For the third time, we set ourselves a big challenge: to collectively circle the Earth, a distance of 40,075 kilometres. This time, we did it – we exceeded our goal and covered 55,731 kilometres. To honour this amazing achievement, the KAEFER FOUNDATION decided to match the circumference of the earth with 1€ per kilometre, thus donating the sum of €40,075. It’s a great reminder that even the biggest goals can be achieved when we stay committed and keep moving forward as a team. Our ambition is what sets the direction, but it’s our teamwork and determination that makes progress possible and creates a lasting impact.
What started as a small initiative in 2021 has now become a global movement for the entire KAEFER Group. Over the years, the number of people taking part has grown by 360%! What’s even more impressive is that the distance covered has increased by 520%. We’ve shown that when we come together, we can make a real difference.
Venuslauf 2020-2024

Every year, we hear new stories. There are cancer survivors who inspire colleagues, family and friends. There are participants who honour a loved one. There are teams that inspire each other to push a little further. There are even families who get their kids involved to teach them about giving back.
As we look to the future, we really hope that the Venuslauf will keep on growing, not just in size but also in the impact we make. Every step forward is a step towards a cure, and every participant shows us that even the biggest challenges can be overcome with a strong team spirit and ambition. We didn’t just raise kilometres; we raised hope and demonstrated global solidarity for cancer patients.
Let’s take a peek at how Venuslauf 2024 looked for our amazing #KAEFERTeam all around the world…
